Why do we not publish a dental price list?
Because no two mouths are the same. A flat price list would either overstate simple cases or quietly under-describe complex ones. Instead, after examining your teeth and any X-rays, we give you a written, itemised quote before treatment begins. That document is our transparency promise, not a number on a menu.
Prudent Dental Care Clinic has worked this way since 2005. Treatment is planned by Dr. Puja Bansal (BDS), a dental surgeon and implantologist with 27 years of experience, and every quote is built from what your examination shows. This guide explains the factors that move a dental quote up or down in Pune. You can then read any estimate with confidence.
Key takeaways
- We do not publish flat prices. Every patient receives a written, itemised quote after an examination, because every mouth is different.
- Implant quotes depend on the implant system and brand, bone condition and any grafting, the crown material, and how many teeth are replaced.
- Root canal, crown and orthodontic quotes are shaped by tooth position, case complexity, materials and laboratory work.
- Compare quotes on what is included (named implant brand, sterilisation standards, dentist registration, review policy), not the headline figure alone.
- Many Indian health policies exclude routine dental care; check your policy before assuming cover.
What determines the cost of a dental implant?
The main factors are the implant system or brand used, the condition of your jawbone and whether bone grafting is needed, the material of the final crown, and whether you are replacing a single tooth or several. Each factor is assessed at your examination and reflected in your written quote.
An implant is a staged treatment: the fixture placed in the jaw, any preparatory work, the connector, and the final crown. Where bone has shrunk after an extraction, grafting may be advised first, which adds a planned stage to the quote. Dr. Bansal completed a Certificate Course in Oral Implantology at D.Y. Patil College, Pune in 2018 and plans every case from an examination and X-rays.
The four biggest implant cost factors
- Which implant system and brand is chosen for your case
- Bone condition, and whether grafting is needed first
- The material of the final crown fitted on the implant
- Whether you are replacing a single tooth, several teeth or a full arch

What affects root canal cost?
Three things matter most: which tooth is involved (front teeth usually have fewer canals than molars), how complex those canals are to clean and fill, and whether the tooth needs a crown afterwards. A molar with curved canals plus a crown is a different job from a simple front tooth.
Front teeth typically have a single canal, while molars have several that can be narrow or curved. A tooth that needs a crown afterwards is quoted as two clear items. Our root canal treatment guide explains what the procedure involves.
What changes braces or aligner costs?
Orthodontic fees depend on how complex your case is, which appliance you choose (conventional braces, ceramic braces or clear aligners), and how long treatment is expected to take. A mild crowding case treated in months is quoted differently from a complex bite correction that spans a longer course.
Orthodontics is quoted as a course of treatment rather than a single procedure. At your consultation we assess how far the teeth need to move and which appliance suits you, then set this out in a written plan. See our orthodontics page for the options.
Why do crowns differ in price?
Mostly because of material and laboratory work. Full-metal crowns, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and zirconia crowns use different materials and different amounts of laboratory craftsmanship, so they are quoted differently. The tooth being restored and the precision required from the dental laboratory also influence the final figure.
| Crown material | Appearance | Strength and wear | Laboratory work involved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full metal | Metallic colour, so most visible in the smile | Long track record for strength on back teeth | Conventional casting |
| Porcelain-fused-to-metal | Tooth-coloured porcelain over a metal core | Strong core; the porcelain surface can chip over time | Two-stage work: metal casting plus porcelain layering |
| Zirconia | Tooth-coloured throughout, often chosen for visible teeth | High-strength ceramic | Digitally designed and precision-milled |
Your dentist will explain which material suits the tooth being restored. Back teeth and front teeth have different needs. Read more about crowns and bridges.
How to compare dental quotes in Pune
Collecting more than one opinion before major treatment is sensible. When you do, compare like with like:
- Ask for an itemised, written quote. Every stage should appear as its own line: imaging, the procedure, materials and the final restoration.
- Check the implant brand is named. The quote should state in writing which implant system will be used.
- Ask about sterilisation standards. We follow a strict sterilisation protocol and explain it openly on our sterilisation and safety page.
- Verify the registration of the dentist. Dr. Puja Bansal is registered with the Maharashtra State Dental Council (reg. A8860). Ask any clinic for the same detail.
- Ask about the review and warranty policy. What happens if a crown, denture or filling needs adjustment after fitting, and is that visit included?
- Confirm what is included and what is billed separately. X-rays, medicines and follow-up visits can sit inside or outside a headline figure; make sure you know which.
Bring any existing quote to your consultation. We are happy to walk through it line by line. If you would like to spread the cost of treatment, ask us about payment options at your consultation.
